Best beach town for 2 single guys in their mid 20s

Hi I%26#39;m planning a week long trip to Southern California. I%26#39;ve stayed in LA before, now I want to stay at a beach town. What is the better choice, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, or Santa Monica. We%26#39;re looking to just chill at the beaches during the day and party hard at night. Not sure if we should stay at one place for an entire week or split it up between 2 places.

If there are better choices other than the 3 that I mentioned please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated.

All three are great choices - with the most nightlife in Santa Monica, the prettiest beach in Laguna, and the most laid-back lifestyle in Huntington.

All 3 are unique and nice, just as the previous post mentioned.

Another beach would be Hermosa Beach. Smaller than Santa Monica but it%26#39;s popular with the twenty something local crowds. And it%26#39;s a party over there during the weekends. A nice hotel at Hermosa and close to all the nightlife is the Beach House.

Santa Monica is quite a ways away from Huntington and Laguna. So I was thinking of maybe staying at Santa Monica for a few days then at either Laguna or Huntington for the remaining days. What do you think will be the better choice, Laguna or Huntington? Actually which of the two do you think would be cheaper when it comes to hotels in walking distance from the beach?

Santa Monica for a few days is a great idea.

Of the two, I would choose Huntington - it will be more fun for you. But truly, Hermosa is what you%26#39;re looking for in terms of beach life, bars, nightlife....

Hermosa, cool I might have to do that instead then. Is Hermosa very far from Laguna or Huntington?

I don%26#39;t think Hermosa Beach is very far from Laguna or Huntington Beach.. Maybe a 30-45 minute drive, considering it%26#39;s not bumper to bumper traffic.

For you guys in your mid 20%26#39;s Hermosa Beach and Huntington Beach are probably your best bet.

Can I throw a new one into the hopper? How about Manhattan Beach? I like it%26#39;s vibe best of all.
