HoJo Anaheim v's Holiday Inn

hi there, I am about to go to the US and Canada for 7 weeks with my daughter to visit friends. I have promised my daughter that we will spend her 4th bday at Disneyland before we come home. Am now trying to decide on hotel. Can anyone reccomend the Hojo over Holiday Inn or vice versa? I want to be able to have breakfast at the hotel and be close enough to go back for a sleep during the day if she hits the wall.

Am also thinking of going to San Diego Zoo for 1 day - is this possible from Anaheim or or is it too far to commute?

Thanks, MW.

HoJo Anaheim v's Holiday Inn

We just got back from DL and stayed at the HoJo..I%26#39;m sorry to say I was disappointed in the room. I am on the picky side according to my hubby though :) It was on the 3rd floor of building one, with a supposed park view. All we could see was tall trees and the roof of the building in front of us, and a tiny glimpse of the top of the Matterhorn. The fireworks were obliterated by the trees as well. It was a dark room, not much sun exposure that week as it was, making the room even gloomier. We requested a room change, but we were told the place was full...We stuck it out as the room was part of a pre paid package deal. On the brighter side of things..the family pool area and hot tub were great!! Perfect spot to watch the fireworks from, and open late too!!!The gardens are very beautiful as well... And the hotel staff were very nice, plus the room was very clean, with a fridge and micro wave...

The ART has a stop right outside the entrance, if you wanted to walk , it might be doable..maybe 5-10 minutes adult time..might be too far for wee little legs...

My hubby %26amp; I stayed in the HoJos in November last year and had a wonderful experience. They don%26#39;t havea restaurant, but Mimi%26#39;s across the road and Millie%26#39;s on the Fairfield Inn property are both wonderful places. HoJos staff are fantastic, wonderful service. We had a room on the 7th floor of building one, had a great view of the matterhorn and the fireworks. Pool is lovely, was warm in November. Gift shop has everything, snacks, souvenirs, first aid and toiletries, anything you could possibly need. On the walk to Disney you pass an IHOP, McDonalds and some other small eateries. Not far at all.

Re San Deigo, we did a tour to Seaworld. Long day, but yes, it%26#39;s possible. Picked us up at about 8.30am, and got back around...7, I think... The drive is quite interesting and scenic, lots to look at, esp the Spanish looking towns.

Hope you have a great trip.
