where to ski and what to do - 15 of us coming from scotland

Hi there,

There%26#39;s a group of us coming to USA (either the Rockies or Lake Tahoe) for a ski holiday in the first couple of weeks of February. Anyone got any top tips on where to stay and what to do while there. We%26#39;ve not booked anything yet, but are looking to do so in the coming week. Where%26#39;s the best place to stay and should we be looking at getting ski passes that we can use at more than just one resort. We%26#39;ll be where-ever we end up for 10 nights.

Anyone got any experience of booking from the UK and what we should look out for/avoid.

We%26#39;re a mixed ability ski/boarding group.

Thanks for any info.

I personally like Heavenly best for skiing in Tahoe. It has the best views of the lake. Some of the easiest runs are at the top of the mountain so even beginners can enjoy the views.

I would recommend renting a house or cabin. The best place to rent from is Lake Tahoe Accomodations

My favorite ski resorts in Tahoe are Kirkwood and Squaw. Good variety of beginner, intermediate, and expert runs. Heavenly has the great view, but seems to have a lower percentage of intermediate runs. But the view is pretty good, and easily makes up for that.
