February 2007 I want to drive from San Francisco to Santa Barbara,
that would probably only take one week. What to do with second week? Yosemity would need snow chains - is that a problem? I Could fly to Las Vegas - not convinced even with the Grand Canyon close. I would like another nice scenic relaxed drive please, happy to fly to another part of USA. Sugestions appreciated.

Depends on where you are flying home from. But there is nothing as beautiful as northern CA - north of San Francisco. You can go to Napa and Sonoma. You can drive Hwy 1 to Marin, Sausilito, Mendocino, and up to beautiful Eureka and Humbolt. Maybe see some of Oregon too.
