For the first 3 days I plan to stay in Anaheim, visiting Disneyland (1 day), Disney%26#39;s California Adventure (1 day), Universal Studios Hollywood (1 day). As for the remaining 2 days , I plan to stay in San Diego to visit San Disgo Zoo (1 day), Seaworld (1 day)

My question is on the trsnsport :

There is a city pass transportation available to Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo and Seaworld. However, I do not wish to go two an fro frtom Anaheim to San Diego for 2days. I wish to Stay in San Diego. So, pls recommend me a package (if any) transport which offers rides from Anaheim to Universal Studios + 1 way ticket to San Diego. Also, which hotel in San Diego provide free shuttle to the Zoo and Seaworld. Thanks

California City Pass + Transport

It costs $19 to take the train from Anaheim to SanDiego. I cannot help ou with a package that includes Universal transportation AND the trip to SanDiego. You will hav eto do that separately.

The train can be booked on www.amtrakcalifornia.com I believe you can also just go to the station when you are ready and get tickets then.

There are 2 stationsinSanDiego . One is downtown and one is in our OLD TOWN neighborhood. There are several hotels that offer free shuttle to the zoo but few offer them to both the zoo AND Sea World.

The Holiday Inn on the Bay is near the downtown SanDiego train station and offers a free shuttle to the zoo and to the airport.

See:www.holiday-inn.com/san-onthebay

Another hotel which DOES offer shuttles to both is the Super 8 Bayview

See: www.super8sdbay.com It also offers a free shuttle to Old Town so maybe they woudldpick you up at the train station too.

California City Pass + Transport

Transfers between Anaheim and Universal usually include the price of admission to Universal. Since you will already have purchased your admission via the City Pass, the only transfer option (other than hiring a car for the day) is to take the train from Anaheim to Downtown Los Angeles and then the metro rail to Universal.

Here are the details:

1. From either the Fullerton or Anaheim rail station (ask reception at your hotel which station is closer), take one of the following trains to L.A, Union (rail) station:

a. The metrolink (regional) train -- metrolinktrains.com

b. The Amtrack (national) train -- amtrak.com

The ride will take 35-40 minutes.

2. At Union Station, transfer to the red line metro rail (take the escalator down to the red line). Be sure you get on the CORRECT TRAIN. It will be marked NORTH HOLLYWOOD on the front and the side of the train. (Do NOT take the train marked ';Wilshire/Western';).,

3. Get off at the Universal Studios stop (25 minutes). Come up to street level, cross Lankershim Bl and wait at the tram stop at the right side of the road that goes up the hill to Universal. The tram is free, runs about once every 20 minutes and takes a minute to reach the top. (Or, you can walk up the hill -- about 10 minutes).

4. At the top of the hill, climb the short staircase to the entrance to Universal.

The train tickets are under $10 and the red line tickets are $1.25 per ride. If you decide to stop in Hollywood (at the Hollywood %26amp; Highland stop that is just before the Universal Studios stop), you will have an opportunity to explore the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theatre (as well as shop or grab something to eat). By making this stop, you will be making THREE trips on the red line metro:

a. One from Union Station to Universal

b. One from Universal to Hollywood %26amp; Highland

c. One from H%26amp;H to Union Station

The cost of these 3 trips is $1.25 x 3 = $3.75. To save money, purchase a DAY PASS at the red line station in Union Station. The pass is only $3 and allows unlimited rides on the metro rail AND the metro bus. (For example, from Hollywood %26amp; Highland, you can take a bus from just outside the metro rail station that will take you to the Farmer%26#39;s Market or the Sunset Strip, etc. If you buy a DAY PASS at Union Station, these bus rides will all be included (free) in the price of the DAY PASS.

Have fun!
