I am travelling with my 5 year old daughter from San Fransisco to LA in August. I would like to stay a couple of nights at somewhere like Green Gables Inn for 2 nights, but am worried whether it is child friendly -my beautiful girl is not always well behaved!
Of course I want the best of both worlds - a fun place for her %26amp; a nice place for me.
Next planning to stay 2 nights at Pismo Beach at the Kon Tiki?
And then I thought perhaps somewhere in Ventura for 1 night after seeing Santa Barbara (but not staying at SB because of the price)
%26amp; then I have to make my way to Burbank to stay with relatives via Santa Monica (which I would like to visit).
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi. I don%26#39;t know if Green Gables is child-friendly. Your best bet would be to call and ask. B%26amp;Bs afford less privacy as a rule and usually are less ';sound-proofed,'; so that might be a problem if your daughter tends to be boisterous. A few thoughts: in Pacific Grove, you can rent a cottage at Andril Fireplace Cottages or Bide-a-Wee Cottages. They are great with kids because of the extra space and they%26#39;re self-contained. Both are in a wooded area quite close to Asilomar Beach. A less desirable (in my opinion) place would be Embassy Suites. I say that because it%26#39;s not in a pretty area. However, it would give a little extra space, as well as an indoor pool that your daughter would probably enjoy. Also take a look at the Monterey Beach Resort--it%26#39;s the only hotel right on the beach. If you want something more luxurious, the Monterey Plaza Hotel is very nice--has rooms with balconies overlooking the water. I haven%26#39;t stayed at the Kon Tiki, but I%26#39;ve heard nothing but good reports. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you. I%26#39;ve booked into the Bide a Wee.
That%26#39;s great! I hope you have wonderful stay in the area.
