Hi,
We%26#39;re in the process of booking our third consecutive October trip to San Francisco right now.
The past two years we%26#39;ve stayed at the Harbour Court and Hotel Vitale. Both great facilities, we%26#39;re just looking for a change this year.
We really love the Ferry Building - Embarcadero area as a base and are considering the Hyatt Regency - Embarcadero for this year.
It seems that you can get larger accomodations for your dollar here.
We%26#39;ve read all the forums and reviews on the Hyatt, just wonderinfg if any of you can comment with first hand and recent experience on this hotel.
Thanks, as always, for all the wonderful expert advice we receive on this Forum.
Hyatt Regency - Embarcadero.
I have worked there and I have stayed there, and I would do either one again any chance I got.
I don%26#39;t think there is really too much more to learn than what has already been said in the reviews. The only thing I would say is that as an 800 room hotel, the service and intimate feel of a smaller hotel like the Vitale and Harbour Court may be absent.
Hyatt Regency - Embarcadero.
People often get really great rates for this hotel on Priceline. You might want to check out biddingfortravel.com.
Thanks Wes %26amp; Cavaletta,
We have received such great advice on this Forum over the last two years that we have felt like locals on our visits.
Wes, I was hoping you would respond as I consider your opinions and comments on accomodations as # 1.
Thanks again.
Stayed there Oct %26#39;05 - rented 2 rooms and 1 bedroom suite. Great location. A couple of things: it%26#39;s a hotel that is all angles, which means the water-view rooms have rather slanted vistas. Second, it appeared that the hotel was renovating rooms but didn%26#39;t have very many done. First rooms we were shown were very tired/torn furniture, dirty carpets %26amp; not very clean. The suite we ended up in was very nice, and had a great balconey with Ferry Bldg.,, water view. The 2 king rooms were also very nice. When you book, Insist on a renovated room - unless of course they have completed the whole hotel by now.
