2007 Oscars and Accommodations

Hoping to get picked for bleacher seats (I know - good luck) however if we dont, we still might visit the LA area and hang out along the sidewalk at the Shrine to observe. We did this 2 years ago and it was fun but didnt see as much as we would%26#39;ve liked to.

Anyway, at that time we stayed in Santa Monica but this time we would like to stay closer to the Hollywood area. I tried the Renaissance and Roosevelt and they of course are booked solid. Any recommendations for a nice 4 star property in the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area with low cabfare to the Shrine? We wont have a car.

Thanks!

Try any of the hotels on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, particularly the newly renovated Sunset Tower:

From the Universal Hilton it%26#39;s a short subway hop to the Kodak. If they%26#39;re booked there%26#39;s a 3 star Sheraton next door. Last resort , the new Best Western in Burbank is a 15 minute bus ride to the Kodak.

Go down to the Kodak the night before, you can see them setting up the lights etc, they even let us walk the red carpet and we saw the Entertainment Tonight people rehearsing etc. Kinda fun.

Almost forgot the Graciela hotel in Burbank, neat little upscale boutique hotel and one long block walk to the bus or probably a $20 cab ride to the Kodak.
