Boutique Hotels

My boyfriend and I love hip and trendy boutique hotels.

I am able to get some discounted rates for the following hotels. The pictures all look pretty nice to me from their websites, but of course they don%26#39;t necessarily reflect the real condition of the hotels. How do you compare between them? Your comments and advice will be appreciated.

Hotel Angeleno

Viceroy

Maison 140

Chamberlain Hotel

Mondrian

Thanks!

Boutique Hotels

Depends on whether or not you have a car and will want to go other places.

Angeleno sits on the freeway, there%26#39;s NOTHING within walking distance. Viceroy is great, has a happening bar scene at night (so does the Modrian), so expect a busy lobby. Maison 140 is my favorite of the bunch (plus it%26#39;s walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Beverly Hills), and I don%26#39;t know the Chamberlain, personally.

Viceroy, Maison 140 and Chamberlain are all under the same ownership -- the KOR group.

It depends a lot on where you most want to stay. Maison 140 has fewer rooms, and if you enjoy bright colors and decor. Beverly Hills.

Viceroy is very hip, many celebrities, ocean views, happening bar, restaurant and pool area. Santa Monica.

Chamberlain has a more subdued color scheme. Great rooftop pool. You have to be a guest or visiting a guest there in order to visit pool/restaurant/bar -- not open to public. On a quiet, pretty residential street. West Hollywood.

if it were me, the Viceroy for the ocean views. But if you don%26#39;t want a super-happening place, one of the other two.
