Please help decide

I have reservations for both the Mariott Fairfield Inn and Park Inn Mini Suites. Which one is better for a family of three staying three days.

Thanks, biketuc

Hi Saloman1,

We have just arrived home from anaheim after 16 glorious days, and we stayed at the Fairfield. We had 2 kids (12 and 11) and found the rooms to be clean, well serviced, and on the whole we could not complain. I would recommend that place to anybody. We have never stayed at the Park Inn, and they were actually at the top of our list when we booked and we could not get in, but after being there we were really glad that we ended up at the faifield. The park inn is just at the crossing to the park and it seemed very busy to us, while the fairfield is only a 2-3 minute walk further up the road it was less hectic. Everyone likes or dislikes different things about a place but we could not speak more highly of the Faifield. Also, request a room with a view to the park, we were on the 9th floor and had a great view of the parks and the fireworks.

Hope this helps.

G%26#39;day all, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn last November for 11 nights and it was wonderful. This is the second time I have stayed here and will probably stay here again on my next trip (November 2007).

There were three of us in the room and it was fine. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were wonderful to us and gave us a room overlooking Disneyland - wonderful to watch the fireworks from.

The location was wonderful and only a short walk to Disneyland.

Hope this helps.

We have never stayed at the Fairfield, but we have stayed at the Park Place Inn.

We really enjoyed the PPI for one reason (primarily) - and it was the location. But we found our room to be clean, cool, and very roomy (for a family of four). There was a fridge and microwave, and a really large bathroom vanity area (outside the actual bathroom) that was nice to have since our daughter has reached the diva years. One gripe my husband had was that the ';...shower was built for Micky Mouse!';. He%26#39;s 6%26#39;3'; and had to stoop to shower. But other than that, we had a good stay and, in fact, will be using them exclusively for our Dland stays. You just can%26#39;t beat the commute time on foot to and from the park.

Have a great time on your trip!

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Park Inn Mini Suites %26amp; just wanted to warn you that as a family of three, you will probably get the same type of room that we got - which is a king bed %26amp; a sofa bed (there were also three of us). The king bed was fabulous but the sofa bed was crud! They usually give the rooms with 2 queens %26amp; sofa (the mini suites) to larger families. The hotel is very busy %26amp; our room was on the ground floor close to the entrance. This was good %26amp; bad...good because we didn%26#39;t have far to walk %26amp; no elevator to negotiate with luggage etc but bad because people walked past at all times of the day %26amp; night yelling. The breakfast at this hotel is also rather crappy so you may want to consider bringing or purchasing something to use in the microwave %26amp; fridge. Also the parking spots are quite small so if you have a bigger vehicle it will be tight. My recommendation is that once your car is parked, just leave it %26amp; walk everywhere!

We (a family of three) stayed at the Park Place Inn and Mini suites and had a very comfy room with 2 very comfy double beds (queen??) which worked just fine for us.

Getting a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed depends on asking for a mini suite, not the size of family. These rooms cost somewhat more. Anyone can reserve one.

We enjoyed being so close to Disney, the fridge, and microwave. We are actually going to be staying there again when we return in a few months.
