Hi everybody, I am currently planning a vacation next year and I%26#39;m not sure what to do with accommodation regards Yosemite. We will be staying 2 nights and really wanted to stay in the Yosemite Lodge but I have read some truly dreadful reviews on the standard of the rooms so now I am not so sure. Some people have recommended asking for Dogwood/Tamarack but of course that is always going to be a request you don%26#39;t know what you will end up with. Is it worth taking a chance just for the location or is it worth staying outside the park ? Thanks in advance
Yosemite Lodge FallsDear George, in this case, let your lodging be where you sleep for a few hours and the destination is why you are there. I think that you will find waking up amongst the falls, cliffs and scenery of Yosemite will far overwhelm any mediocrity of the room.
It sounds as if you are planning far enough ahead to get lodging in the park, so go for it!
Yosemite Lodge FallsI don%26#39;t get it- I%26#39;ve never stayed in a bad room at the Lodge. I%26#39;m not looking for 4-star luxury, either, but I%26#39;ve nver been disappointed with a stay there.
And I%26#39;m going to go on June 2nd!! I just couldn%26#39;t stand it any more-all those amazing waterfalls and me stuck at home. So we found a small sindow of opportunity and will head up there for an overnight. We%26#39;ll be staying at the lodge and I%26#39;ll let you know if anything is awry.
