water temperature

Just wondering when the prime months for being able to swim in the ocean or hotel pool without a wet suit are?

Thanks

The water is warmest in late June, early July through mid October. During this time, you can expect the water temperature to be anywhere between 63-72 degrees. In July and August the water is typically very comfortable to swim in.

Here%26#39;s a handy chart.

Of course the air temperature matters a lot too. What feels refreshing at 90 feels downright cold at 70!

Like the picture, Grateful Deb! By the way, most hotel pools are heated, so usually no problem there.

Thanks for teaching me how to get the picture. That%26#39;s Riley. She will be 4 in June. Can%26#39;t quite figure out how to relocate her though. I found out that she can travel on the plane in a carry bag so that%26#39;s cool. But I have to get my car out there too. She likes the car but 12 hours a day might just be too much for her.

The ocean water is best July-October - meaning the water may hit around 70 or so with the best months being August and September. But if it%26#39;s 85 outside, the water is refreshing.

A full wetsuit would be best for the winter months, otherwise, a spring (shorty) wetsuit is adequate.
