Anaheim to Beverly Hills by bus

Is this do-able with luggage? First visit to LA early next month (party of 3) with 3 nights booked in Anaheim at the Candy Cane Inn (following advice on Trip Advisor) and then 3 nights at the Beverly Pavilion. From info on the metro.net web site it appears that we can get there using Metro Bus 460 and Metro Rapid 720. We would not travel in peak hour and will have one bag each. I realise that the trip will take about 2 and a half hours, which is not a problem for us. Just not sure of the baggage issue. All advice appreciated and note that we do not wish to rent a car. You might find it easier to rent a car for that day. Call the rental agencies to see if that is a possiblity.

I%26#39;m not sure about taking the bus from Anaheim to Beverly HIlls. Another thing you might want to check out. Take the Amtrak Train to LA Union Station. It%26#39;s a 45-48 min ride depending which train you hop on. Fare is about $9.50 one way.

From LA Union Station you can take a taxi to Beverly Hills.

I guess the issue is how much luggage you%26#39;ve got. The train to Union Station is a fine idea. You could then get on the Red Line heading to Western (be careful, not North Hollywood). From there you could catch one of the Rapid buses to Beverly Hills. I believe the 720 is the one you%26#39;d need to catch. However, if you%26#39;ve got a lot of luggage, yes, I think the taxi is a better idea.

Thanks for the advice so far. I did know about the train from Anaheim to Union Station. It just somehow looked easier, albeit slower, on the 2 buses. As a bonus the 460 bus seems to depart from just near the Candy Cane, and the overall cost will be much cheaper. Thanks yogachik for your advice - we might give it a go as we will only have a suitcase each plus maybe a backpack. Thanks again to all who have responded.
