Arriving in SF June 1 for 1 week. Intend to rent a car and drive to Muir Woods. Travel with spouse and 11 and 16 year old kids. Any interesting/ fun Wine tours on the way. Anything else a family might enjoy? Thanks for the HELP!!!
SF to Muir Woods - Wine ToursMuir Woods is very close to SF, I think 4th exit off the hwy after the GG Bridge, so wine tours are not between the two. Sonoma and Napa are about 45 min from Mill Valley. Things my family enjoys in this area are-The views of SF from top of Mtn Tam are amazing, even if it is foggy. The hike is easy. We enjoy going over to Muir Beach as well. Mill Valley is a nice town, not so touristy. Sausalito and Tiburon are great towns to visit with families as well while you are in Marin. The views from both are beautiful.
