We are staying 3 nights in LA, Fri-Sun, then driving to San Diego where we are booked Tues-Wed. (We are then driving to Vegas)
Where would you recommend to spend the Monday night in between?
We are 4 adults 25-40yrs who have not been to this area before and would like a beach resort with good seafood and good veggie food if possible, perhaps where we could hire mountain bikes or go for a hike in the day and some sunset cocktails in the evening.
Am I being too unrealistic?
Thanks for your feedback X
Stopover Driving LA to San DiegoLaguna Beach. Hermosa/Redondo/Manhattan Beach. All fit the bill perfectly.
Stopover Driving LA to San DiegoI definitely would stop in either Laguna Beach or just a few minutes south in Dana Point. I lived in Newport Beach 20 yrs before moving to SD and wouldn%26#39;t necessarily stay there but you might want to drive the coastal route through it. From LA you can take Highway 1 or otherwise called Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) through all the coastal cities to Laguna Beach/Dana Point. Or if you don%26#39;t want to take that much time just get on the Freeway - 405 South and exit whereever you decide you want to see the Coast. Huntington Beach would be a good spot and then drive south from there on PCH. Laguna Beach has a lot a good restaurants and many many art galleries.
