Oh no! Bad weather next week????

I am on the verge of tears. Just checked out next week%26#39;s weather and it looks like we%26#39;ll be in for some showers. Not only is it going to be rainy while we%26#39;re in SF, but it seems the bad weather will follow us to Napa as well. Eeek!

Can anyone tell me just how chilly it might get? Keep in mind you%26#39;re speaking to a typical South Florida Girl who thinks 60* is quite COLD.

We%26#39;ll be there Tues-Thurs (5/23-5/25). Any chance it might not be as bad as it looks on weather.com? ::Sigh::

Oh no! Bad weather next week????

Don%26#39;t panic--there is a chance that the weather will get warmer and have less chance of rain by Tues., according to our local paper. Thru Mon. there does appear to be a relatively high probability of rain and cool temps (day hi-50%26#39;s, nite mid-40%26#39;s). But they%26#39;re describing Tues. and Wed. as ';unsettled'; meaning that it could continue cool/wet, but may also change into more seasonable weather. I hope it does, too, as we%26#39;re planning an overnite in Sausalito with a ferry trip to the City on Wed. If it does remain cool, you can take advantage of it and enjoy the galleries, museums, shops and tasting rooms which are always cozy and comfortable.

Oh no! Bad weather next week????

Thanks so much, Forestvillian. I%26#39;m really hoping and praying for some nice weather in Wine Country at least!

Don%26#39;t worry! It%26#39;s likely to rain through Monday and improve begining Tuesday, so you%26#39;ll be catching great weather.

I think you may like the weather here. When it says 40% chance of rain it means you might have some drizzles, and it%26#39;s just as likely that it will happen at night. When it rains in Florida (even in the SUMMER!) it POUNDS. You won%26#39;t even notice it, I bet.

Anyway, the vineyards are beautiful no matter what the weather. You%26#39;ll just have to linger longer over your great meals and in the tasting rooms.

Have a great trip!

It rained on and off on our two day visit to the area in March and did not effect our plans in any way! I hope you have a great time and let us know how it goes! :)

Thanks, everyone. This definitely helps put me at ease. It%26#39;s funny b/c as Cavaletta pointed out, whenever I read 40% chance of rain I immediately think major downpour, thunder storms and just plain ugly weather (ah, the perks of living in Miami!). I%26#39;m desperately staying positive. Either way, I CANNOT WAIT to get there!!! Woohoo : )

CMG--the forecast for both San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma is looking better and better for Tues. on. Now the local weather reports are saying that by Tues. there%26#39;ll only be ';a possibility of occasional showers'; and then from Wed. thru Sat. ';some clouds, mostly sunny'; and close to 70 degrees. Sounds pretty good!

Great to hear! I am officially signing off now... have to catch a plane in just a few hours. Thanks again to everyone for all the great help and I%26#39;ll post plenty when we return.
