1st time to Disney- plaese advise!

Hi!

This will be our first time to Disney !

We are two families: $ adults and 2 Toddlesr (2years), 1 - 11 year old.

I was looking at online tickets and Hotels and it is SOOO confusing.

Can anyone give me some advise on what would be the best place for us to stay? and where would be the best place to buy our tickets? We will be there for atleast 2 days arround Septemebr 26th. Our dates are flexible.

Thanks!

We will be there Sept 24-30 and I did A LOT of checking around for our 1st trip to DL with our 4 and 6 year old. We decided on hte Best Western Park Place, primarily due to location (right AT the crosswalk into Disneyland) so the kids wouldn%26#39;t have a long walk at the end of the day, or so we could very easily take a mid day break and go swimming or sleep or eat etc. You can also buy park hopper tickets from the hotel directly and the prices were the same as through an agent or Disneland.com. We did book our trip through Disneyland.com solely due to convenience, we could have booked everything seperately but the price really didn%26#39;t change.

Have FUN

You have fun too!

I will look at booking at that hotel. Thanks for the info!

We go ever year but it is our splurge trip so we generally stay at the Disneyland Hotel which is just amazing.. But I have many friends from online Disney Chat groups that say the Howard Johnson has some really great rooms and rates.. And it%26#39;s not too far of a walk either..

i am also going to disneyland on the 1st week of october with a 2 year old and my husband and we also opted for the best western park place inn.

Hi,

If you%26#39;re a Costco member- you can get good prices on Disneyland vacation packages through their website- Costco.com. We just booked a package for this Fall and it includes the tickets, hotel, $20 Disney Resort giftcard and free character breakfast for everyone in the package. Also included is early entry to Mickey%26#39;s Toontown Madness and priority seating to some shows in CA Adventure.

Another website with good prices is getawaytoday.com

As far as hotels- we%26#39;ve stayed in Garden Grove and drove or took a shuttle from our hotel to Disneyland. We%26#39;ve stayed at the Embassy Suites and the Marriot Residence Inn. Both nice and come with free buffet breakfast. The Marriott rooms have a separate bedroom and a full kitchen with a living room- it was like staying in an apartment. Embassy rooms don%26#39;t have a kitchen but have a living room area separate from the bedroom. Hope this helps and have a great vacation: )

Our personal favorite is the Disneyland Hotel...the kids and the adults love the Neverland Themed Pool, the mickey packaged soap, etc., and everything is so accessible. Short walk to monorail for a Magic Kingdom entry (however, I believe it%26#39;s closed right now for rennovations?????) Downtown Disney right out front door and a walk through DD gets you to the gates of DCA.

We%26#39;ve stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn twice, one of the things that you%26#39;ll find very convenient with little ones is that there is a microwave in every room as well as a fridge and walking to and from the parks is very convenient. In 2 trips, at busy times (the week before Christmas, and early August), staying a total of 15 nights, we never had a problem with noise either.

We bought our tickets and booked our hotel on line through Disneyland.com, at the time they offered the best deal on what we wanted. I know AAA often has good offers . . . basically we decided what we wanted and then shopped all the websites we heard of to see where we could get the best deals at the time.
