Coastal Regions

We%26#39;ve recently traveled to one of our favorite destinations- California. This time we drove along highway 1%26#39;s coastal highway starting from San Francisco, through Monterey to the Big Sur. It was awesome- so majestic were the views, like Ansel Adam-styled photographs. It%26#39;s truely one of the most beautiful place on earth, and a fun, challenging car ride as well, along steep cliffs and frightening drops through narrow bridges. We stayed at some nice places in Monterey and Carmel by the Sea. Sometimes it%26#39;s impossible to imagine, being from America, that there%26#39;s any more amazing wonders left to see IN America. You need not travel far and just look at our own backyard. And California is truly one of those places where it never gets mundane or tired!

Thanks for sharing your enjoyment. Highway 1 is definitely a highlight of a trip to California. If you had clear weather, you were doubly blessed. You got to enjoy the views of the ocean and mountains--and you didn%26#39;t have to drive that road in fog that can hug the road like a blanket and be as wet as rain.
