LAX airport to anaheim

Hi,

How much would it cost me to get a cab from LAX airport to my hotel in the disneyland area?

Is there a cab booth at the airport?

Also, is this the most convinient way to transfer from the airport to my hotel? Thanks

It would be very expensive. The istance is 35 miles and it will take somewhere between 40 minutes an an hour to get there.

The fare will be:

1. $2.20 when you get into the taxi (initial fare on the meter)

2. $1 surcharge for gasoline (all taxi rides)

3. $2.50 surcharge since the trip originated at LAX.

4. Mileage charge: $2.20 x 35 = $77

5. Staning Time surcharge (This is charged when the taxi is stuck in traffic or is stopped at a red light). I will estimate a ';typical trip%26#39;s'; surcharge and a ';longer trip%26#39;s'; surcharge (the latter, because of heavy traffic): 40 cents x 6 minutes = $2.40 or 40 cents x 21 minutes = $8.40

Total, so far....

$85.10 (typical trip)

$91,10 (high-traffic trip)

Now, add tip (15 percent):

$98 or $105

Cabs pull up in front of every terminal. (See the attendant for assistance). While this is the most convenient way to travel (and the quickest), it is, by far, the most expensive.

Alternatives include:

1. The Disneyland Express bus (airportbus.com) -- which runs every 30 minutes (except in the evenings when it runs hourly) and costs $19, one way and $28 round trip. (There is a coupon on their website -- under the photo, click on coupons -- that will reduce the round trip fare to $25. This is a comfortable coach that goes to the Disneyland Resort first and then on to area hotels. (You will either be taken to your hotel aboard this coach or you will be transferred to a smaller vehicle for the short ride from Disneyland to your hotel.

2. Airport shuttle vans. Two companies (Supershuttle -- supershuttle, com and primetime shuttle -- redvans, com) offer shared van service to the Disneyland area. These are smaller vehicles that leave the airport when they fill up (there can be a delay if there are not enough passengers for the trip and other passengers may be dropped off before you, further delaying your arrival. The cost is: $15 each way ($30 round trip).

Both the Disneyland Express and the Airport shuttle vans take about the same amount of time (between an hour and an hour and a half). If I were you, I%26#39;d get on whichever one appears first.

Good luck!

Hi, Thanks for the advice

On the Disneyland express :

1. Once arrived in LAX airport, where do I look for the pickup? Is this also where I purchase my ticket?

2. I would be staying in Holiday Inn Suites in S.Walnut street. Would the bus drop me off

at the hotel enterance?

3. I would be staying in Anaheim for about a week. If I purcase the round trip, would the bus pick me up from my hotel during my return trip? How do I arrange the pickup time?
