San Diego in March

My husband and 12 yr old daughter were considering a trip to San Diego in the beginning of March. What is the weather like then? Is it still too cool to go swimming in an outdoor pool? Any recommendations for nice accomodations? Any which include a kitchen? Thanks!

Most of the hotels have outdoor pools that are heated so you can swim all year . The ocean is too cold but you can always walk on the beach, go tidepooling etc. ';Nice'; is a relative term. Can you be more specific as to you rprice point? How long do you plan to spend here? I ask this because if you are interested in a condo many want you to stay a week. I mention condos because although there are many hotels that have family/suite accomodations, fewer have actual kitchens. I%26#39;ll check around and let you know what I find.

OK Some ideas Residnce Inns by Marriott ahve several locations with family suites tha tahve kithcens. the Catamaran Hotel which is across th estreet from Pacific Beach and on MissionBay has SOME rooms with kitchens. The La Joll acove and SUites located in the neighborhood of La jolla(pronounced hoya) which is about 20 min north of downtown(very posh) has SOME rooms with kithcens. The GloritettaBay Inn and suites islocated inCoronado which is across the bay from downtown SanDiego . It is reache d by a short bridge from downtown or a short ferry ride(no cars on ferry) It is an old mansion with a courtyard of modern suites withkitchens. I tis located across th estreet from the historic Hotel DelCoronado and the beach.
