My husband and I are planning a trip to Napa over Memorial Day. Would appreciate any recommendations you have for child care for our 1-year-old.
Can you recommend a nanny or babysitter?
Did you ever find a sitter? We%26#39;re going to be in Sonoma (Rohnert Park) next week and need a sitter for our 18-month old.
Can you recommend a nanny or babysitter?
Can you really trust someone you found on a travel site? Hmm I suggest you write to Russ and Sharon at Old World Inn. They are on here a lot giving advice and might have a suggestion for you
I was thinking more along the lines of a reputable agency than someone from the board. Thanks for the suggestion, I%26#39;ll send them an email.

To All-
Unfortunately, we do not have any personal (or professional) recommendations for baby sitters or childcare in the wine country :(
Since our B%26amp;B is only permitted for 2 persons per room, we really don%26#39;t see a whole lot of kids (parents would have to split up and stay in a room with their child).
Since many Napa hotels and motels have 2 beds per room, they tend to be the primary choice for parents traveling with little ones.
Innkeeper Russ %26amp; Sharon%26#39;s baby is still less than 2 weeks old, so they haven%26#39;t really started looking for childcare yet-- but this will probably change in the next few years! :)
Our best wishes to all those who are looking for safe care for their little ones while they are visiting the wine country,

nilknarf,
Have you contacted the hotel you are staying at to see if they offer a babysitting service? Bigger hotels tend to offer that kind of service.
We%26#39;ll also be in the area next week but luckily we no longer need babysitters. I remember those days so wish you lots of luck
www.RoyalNannies.com is a nanny agency based out of the Northern Bay area, servicing Napa, Sonoma, Marin and Sacramento counties.
