Transportation from Avalon to Two Harbors?

We are going to Avalon next weekend and we thought we might check out the Microbrew Fest in Two Harbors, is there a less expensive way to get there than the Safari Bus ($26 one way)?

There is a boat going from Avalon to Two Harbors and back ecspecially for the brew fest. It leaves Avalon at 10am and returns back around 6pm (leaving at 5pm from Two Harbors) You have to call the Two Harbors front office to purchase these tickets as it is not the Catalina Express, it is the Two Harbors Dive Boat. Thier number is 310-510-4205.

The cost is $25 roundtrip per person and is much quicker and more comfortable than the safari bus. I have been to the microbrew fest and the wine fest before (usually in June) and is a fun thing to do for the day, plus you get to see the rustic side of the island. One thing, both events are extrememely casual, so just show up in flip flops, tee and shorts. (If you dress up you will feel overdressed)

Have fun in Avalon, Our favorite restaurant is Portofino. We eat there everytime we come and are never disappointed.
