It really depends on your age and things you like to do, clubs you like to attend...

Hello SF!!!

thanks a lot, very useful information. I%26#39;m 23 (f) and I%26#39;m going to SF for work (1 week), but I will have 3-4 free days (Friday-Monday:)). I wanted to go shopping, visit some popular clubs (hip hop, electro music), make a city tour. And I also need to find not an expensive hotel not far from Myako Hotel...ate there any??

Thanks again!!!!!

There are some inexpensive places in that area, which is Japantown. The Best Western Miyako Inn first comes to mind. It%26#39;s no more than a block away, and friends used to stay there when they wanted to stay in J-town and were on a budget. There are a couple of other places on Sutter Street that seem to specialize in foreign visitors on longer-term stays that another person asked about a few months ago. I%26#39;ll see if I can find that query.

As for shopping ... the main place that people visit are downtown around Union Square where you%26#39;ll find well-known stores that you can find in major American cities. Then there are discount designer stores and discount everything stores in that area.

For smaller venues that are owned by individuals, many people like to shop along Chestnut Street in the Marina, in the Haight for vintage and individual shops...

And for clubs ... well, someone else is going to have to contribute there. You might suggest some of your musical tastes, genre or bands you like...

I don%26#39;t know what your exact price range is, but the Miyako Hotel itself generally isn%26#39;t very expensive.

If that isn%26#39;t an option then as BTB said, check out the Miyako Inn.

Clubs:

Check out Ruby Skye.

The Starlight Room now does hip hop a few nights a week.

Bubble Lounge is really trendy so it may be something you%26#39;d like.

XYZ Bar in the W Hotel is another trendy place.

Thanks, suks.

Sorry saks, ...misprint.
