We need ideas for where to stay close to beach that has a suite so the bedroom is separate for the girlsand we can stay up later.....
Also what to do in Anaheim besides disney on limited time with 2 small kids and where to stay with suites again.....

feb 2007 trip need advice!!
You will probably have to post yourAnaheim hotel question in the Anaheim forum. The weather in SanDiego is our winter ,which can mean rain but not really cold weather. It is not like Florida here. The ocean will be much too cold for swimming although it will be possible to walk on the beach and play in the sand. The coldest it will get will be in the 50s but it can also get up in the 70s. You never can predict it well for that time of year. I am not sure of your price range but there is the La Joll aBeach %26amp;Tenni sClub which has famiy suites. There is the Glorietta Bay Inn (both in different areas of town near different beaches) There are also several Residence Inns by Marriott. One that is not on a beach but is centrallylocated is the one in Mission valley. I can help better if I know a little more about the price range you are interested in because of course there are many choices.
feb 2007 trip need advice!!
I looked at the B.Western in Coronado :(, I need a kitchenette since I have 2 little ones and it doesnt look like they have one. A sink an micro wont do it as we need to eat some in the room to save $$ for attractions. I also need a table and 4 chairs. I welcome the suggestions though, maybe something between San diego and Anaheim? We would like to do Disney too.
Another idea is THeBeachCottages in Pacific Beach. Look at the reviews on this site. Put the name in the search box on the left. They are not fancy but they might do fine for you.
There are also some places to stay inCarlsbad. near Legoland. That would mean lots of driving though. Your idea to stay in SanDiego and then stay inAnaheim is probably a better one. Anaheim is a good 2hr drive from SanDiego (maybe 1 1/2 withno traffic.)
Well, the beach cottages seem fine with the 2 kids but the hubby needs to be a little more ';impressed'; thats kind of roughing it. I wondered about Carlsbad too like you said. We also considered staying a few days in Anaheim so we dont have to drive back and forth esp. after a long day at Disneyland.
I just cant decide on a place like Homewood suites or splurge on a ';resort';. What%26#39;s Catamaran like? LaJolla Beach and Tennis seems nice but I cant seem to get prices to work on their website.
I looked at the Glorietta and its ok too but i guess we need a room with doors that close for the bedroom for the kids to sleep..........
I looked at the Glorietta (again) and it seems kinds fancy for my 2 kids, they are all about cutting with scissors and cherrios! Maybe something between the pacific beach cottage place and the Glorietta with bedroom doors that close and close to a clean beach!!
The Catamaran is very nice but I don%26#39;t think they have regular kitchens..The La JollaBeach %26amp;Tennis Club is on a very nice beach and has lots of family suites, etc. If their web site doesn%26#39;t work try calling.
You might also consider enting a gouse/condo but yu might have to stay in one lace for the whole time. Look at www.vrbo.com thesea re individual people who are renting out their own place.
I tis hard to get what you want becauseof your specific needs. Traveling with young ones is sometimes challenging. Many families have recently said very good things about the Glorietta Bay Inn (not the mansion rooms) There is another place nearby ,The Coronado Beach Resort. It is a condo resort. Good luck with your planning and don%26#39;t give up.
The Catamaran does indeed have full kitchens in SOME of the rooms but I think they are mainly in the tower rooms (and since those have sliding glass doors and balconies, they are not a very good idea for little ones).
You may want rethink the idea of staying close to the beach. You%26#39;ll be paying a premium to stay nea the beach and the weather in Feb is unlikely to be warm enough to spend much time at the beach. I would look into the Marriott Residence Inn properties, as well as Embassy Suites. I find their [rices to be quite reasonable especially since it includes breakfast each day.
IMHO-3 days is about right to ';do'; Disney. There are two parks next to each other....Disneyland and California Adventure. You can get a three-day park hopper ticket and take your time enjoying the parks. Or get two one day passes and take a day off in bwtween to rest. There are tons of Suite type properties near Disneyland (try to be within walking distance)...just do a seach on Travelocity.
