General Safety in SD

I%26#39;ve heard that SD is generally a very safe city.

Are there any places, particularly aorund the /downtown/tourist areas that should be avoided, say late at night? I am staying in Mission Bay in April and will only be using public transport and taxis to get around.

Also, is Tijuana 99.9% safe if visited in the day for a few hours?

General Safety in SD

Tijuana is perfectly safe during the day . We often take folks for a visit to shop and have lunch. I do not know how long you are going to be in the area . I fyou are here for only a short time then I think youwill find a lot to do without going to Tijuana. I say this because Mexico is a destination in itself an dTijuana does not necessarily represent the best of Mexico. YOu get to Tijauna by taking our light rail trolley Blue line to the last stop and them you walk across the border. There you can either continue walking to AvenidaRevolucion or take a taxi. If you take a taxi negotiate the price before you get in.
