Cheap and Cheerful in Santa Monica

Looking for somewhere nice (Hotel, B%26amp;B, anything) in Santa Monica with decent location (beaches etc.) but at good price, looking to spend not much more than $500 for 6nights (22.Nov - 28.Nov). Its just a stop over on a longer trip so dont want to splash out too soon. I check reviews on tripadvisor always and there are definitely some places to steer clear of.

Trying to keep within budget makes things difficult so if anyone can help it would be great

$500 for 6 nights is simply not possible in Santa Monica, which is a pricier area of LA. It%26#39;s barely possible in other areas - unless you stay in a hostel.

There%26#39;s a well rated motel, that%26#39;s very well-located, between SM and Venice, but it%26#39;s $111/night. That%26#39;s more than the 500/6 nights that you asked for, but the closest you%26#39;ll get, without staying in a hostel

Take the Culver City #1 bus from the corner of Inglewood Bl and Washington Bl WESTBOUND for the 15 minute ride to Venice Beach Pier. Walk, skate or bicycle (rentals are available) up the beach path to Santa Monica (10-20 minutes).

Rates from $79 per night (= $474 for the six nights + tax).
