Healdsburg? Windsor? Other cities?

After reading TONS of literature on this awesome site......

I am stressed on where to stay. Healdsburg sounds awesome, but few B and B%26#39;s have olpenings (or are cost prohibitive).

Would like to be in walking distance of some bars/restaurants....but not a necessity. B-friend HATES b and b%26#39;s, so I really want to stay somewhere decent to change his opinion!

ANY help is TOTALLY appreciated. Other cities to recommend?????

Healdsburg? Windsor? Other cities?

Have you already taken a look at Hotel Healdsburg (www.hotelhealdsburg.com) which is a small boutique hotel across from the Plaza. Depending upon when you%26#39;ll be in town, they may have some special rates/packages available. Tell us what your price range is for lodging. This MIGHT not be the best time to try and convince your boyfriend to stay at a B%26amp;B--what is it that makes him dislike them so much? I%26#39;m assuming you%26#39;ve already checked out staying in the town of Sonoma. How about going over (barely) into Napa Co. and staying in the very charming town of Calistoga--lots of great restaurants, shops, galleries, etc. within walking distance and Calistoga has a beautiful location as well. Check the Mount View Hotel and Spa (www.mountviewhotel.com)--and there are also many of the dreaded B%26amp;B%26#39;s in town!

The Hotel Healdsburg is very, very nice. It is very contemporary, my husband loves this style of hotel. There is a very nice pool, jacuzzi, breakfast and restaurant there. The Dry Creek Kitchen is swanky, cool decor and excellent food.

In Calistoga, we loved the Indian Springs Resort. The lodging are actually like small little apartments with a small living room, full kitchen and bath/bedroom. The Olympic size pool there is very relaxing and therapeutic, open until midnight.

There%26#39;s always Yountville, I would suggest the Yountville Inn, right across the street from Domaine Chandon. Lots of great places to dine there. :)
