Considering a vacation rental for a few days at the end of September in Mission Beach. It doesn%26#39;t have air conditioning, but does have ceiling fans. How safe is that area? Just from a personal safety standpoint I%26#39;m hesitant to leave windows open at night, but I worry that it might be a bit stale by morning without a/c either. Any feedback on safety or evening temps inside?
Nighttime safety with no a/c?
It is an interesting question that I have never thought about. We use a fan at night and leave our windows open BUT our bedrooms are upstairs. We have friends with a house in MissionBeach and they do the same but again their bedrooms are upstairs. I am hoping pbhomey will have a better answer for you.

A/C is not really needed here at the beach.
I think when ever a window is left open in any town can be trouble. The inside temps should be cool enough inside to close the windows. If you are on a second floor, or third floor like I am, then leave them open.
There is not a rash of people climbing through windows...but, it does happen from time to time.
We have no A/C either just ceiling fans. About an hour before you go to bed, get a box fan for the window and use it to bring the cold outside air in. Usually when I am at home, I make sure I have cross ventilation going with the windows and ceiling fans. When I am ready for bed, close the windows. If it doesn%26#39;t get hot during the days, you won%26#39;t have to worry. I only did this when we had that hot spell in July.
Thank you for the responses - much appreciated, obviously!
