Ralphs or Vons grocery store

Hi

We are staying at The Sheraton Park and wondering if there is a Ralphs or Vons grocery store nearby or another grocery store where we can buy water and snacks for the children ,so we dont have to pay Disneyland prices, we do not have a car.

Thanks

The closest Grocery Store to the Disneyland Resort is a Food4Less (run by Ralphs/Kroger), about 1 mile west on Katella. You can walk to Katella (about 1/2 block north) and then catch the OCTA Route 50 in front of the 7/11 for $1.25 one way, or just walk the mile down Katella. The store is on the south side of the street.

As for Vons, you need to go down Harbor (south) to Chapman, and make a left (east) a few blocks to find a Vons.

Froggy, I think Disneyland has some restrictions on bringing your own food or beverages.

It%26#39;s a fact of life; many private entertainment venues do this because they don%26#39;t want you bringing in stuff you bought for $1.00 and not buy theirs for $2.39.

Actually, Disneyland is pretty easy going with the snacks if you have children. I bring food all the time in a little lunch cooler. They don%26#39;t care. As long as you aren%26#39;t bringing a picnic basket or large cooler full of food, they pretty much don%26#39;t mind. The people checking your bags are looking for weapons or other dangerous items, not food.

My wife and I (in our 50s - no kids) always take our own food and drinks into DL and have never had any problems getting them in.

And yes - it%26#39;s well worth the effort - DL prices are very high. But do treat yourselves to the odd DL snack - it%26#39;s part of the experience.

Chilli dogs (savoury) and churros (sweet) are our favourites.

I%26#39;m sorry. You are right, I didn%26#39;t mean only if you have children...I meant especially if you have children. I%26#39;ve been before I had my son and took food then and they didn%26#39;t mind.

That%26#39;s good to know! I know some places do put limits on bringing in food or drink. They always have some good reason for it, but it probably comes down to their desire to have you buy they stuff!

That%26#39;s very nice of Disneyland :)
