I haven%26#39;t bought camera gear from a walk-in store in years, but a quick check shows that Adolph Gasser%26#39;s is still around. They%26#39;re not cheap, but at least used to have a very extensive selection of both new and used equipment:

Before going into any store (especially the ones near the wharf) I%26#39;d advise you to buy a US photography mag. This way you can compare prices and see if they are trying to rip you off. Also, if the mag is cheaper then often you can haggle with the shop.
