I arrive in at the airport at around about midnight in christmas eve and would like to book 3 nights at a place where I can relax and have fun and possibly meet people around about my age (as I will be travelling alone at this stage in the trip)... Any ideas???
Thanks :)
Single 24yr old male looking for relaxation and funDepends on your budget, but you should look to stay on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. All the bars and clubs are there, but almost every hotel bar along Sunset is hopping with twentysomethings.
Standard Hotel
Grafton
Sunset Tower
Chateau Marmont
There%26#39;s a Best Western there, and a Hyatt - both are reasonably priced.
Bel Age
Sunset Marquis
Single 24yr old male looking for relaxation and funThat sounds like a good suggestion yogachik :)
I would like the accomodation to be approx. 3 stars, so around about that pricing (preferably well less than US$140).
Would any of those hotels be able to provide airport transfers on christmas eve at midnight-ish?
Or do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks heaps :)
It%26#39;s not possible to find a room on the Strip during Christmas for $140. The best deal I%26#39;ve been able to find is:
The Grafton fot $159 through Travelocity.com.
The Grafton is ';party central'; so if you really meant ';relax'; in your posting, I%26#39;d stay somewhere else. (It will be close to 7 in the morning UK-time when you arrive at the hotel. Are you looking for a good night%26#39;s sleep? Here%26#39;s a link to recent reviews. You be the judge:

I%26#39;d like to recommend the hotel that your fellow travelers have rated #1 in Los Angeles. The Elan Hotel Moderne. This is a Utell Property with only 50 rooms in a great, central location (especially for someone without a car). From the corner of Beverly Bl %26amp; La Cienega Bl (adjacent to the hotel), you can travel in all four directions by public transit and get to just about everywhere.
First, here are some reviews about the hotel:

The hotel is offering rooms at $149 for your dates that inclue breakfast and a daily wine/cheese reception with the manager. Info at:
reservationpage.com/C00000/…
(Click %26#39;view description%26#39; under each photo for a description of the rooms).
From the hotel, getting around is easy. To get to the Sunset Strip, pick up any bus at the corner of La Cienega Bl and Beverly Bl (2 blocks west of the hotel) and take it north 10 minutes to Sunset Bl.
To go to Beverly Hills, take the #14 Bus westbound from the same intersection, 10 minutes.
To go to the Farmer%26#39;s Market, the Grove or CBS Television City, take the #14 going eastbound (6 or 7 minutes).
To go to Hollywood, pick up the 25-cent DASH bus (at the same corner) and 15 minutes later, you%26#39;ll be in front of the Chinese Theatre.
Within a couple of blocks of the hotel are lots of restaurants in all price ranges to meet the needs of a single-traveler like yourself.
Regarding airport transfers, none of the hotels offer them (except the hotels next to the airport). In view of the late hour, I would take a taxi (for about $30-$35). The alternative ';shared van'; services will save you $15 or so but it will take you an hour or so to get to your hotel instead of 30 minutes.
Have a great holiday!
I feel like I have been pointed in the right direction
Thanks guys... :)
