Best mall in san diego??

we will be staying near old town. Looking to fill a few hours (or a day) with some shopping. we will have a car so traveling to an outline area to hit the best mall won%26#39;t be a big deal. Is Horton plaza still worth going to? how about the outlet mall at the boarder? thanks.

I like Fashion Valley the best. Horton Plaza is also a great mall...even though I always get lost in the place! The archetict was a genius!

For good deals, the outlets on the border would be best.

To see the stores at the outlet mall near the border go to:

I agree with pbhomey. Fashion Valley has great shops like Saks, Nordstrom, Tiffany%26#39;s, Tommy Bahamas. I always get lettuce wraps at Cheesecake Factory when I am there. It is always crowded and popular. I won%26#39;t even try to go during Xmas, way too busy I couldn%26#39;t even find parking.

Horton Plaza has a great location downtown, but is very confusing. There are multiple levels that split into more levels. If you park you must remember the Vegetable level that you park and how you went into the mall or else you%26#39;ll have a crazy time finding your way back.

My other favorite is UTC, again outdoor mall, but great shops.

have fun.

For a shopping center experience, Fashion Valley is the way to go.

IMO, Horton Plaza is visually stimulating but is in need of a re-merchandising. I don%26#39;t think there is much there I can%26#39;t get elsewhere. But it is a great place for a movie, some fast food eating and some nice dining.

For non-shopping center fun:

Cedros Avenue Design District, in Solana Beach, west of I-5 and just east of Pacific Highway. Wonderful shops -- fun novel stuff.

Little Italy is building a nice set of fashion / home design shops as well. Again, perfect for walking on a nice day, some nice food there as well for a lunch.

I wish Bazaar del Mundo still existed.
